Join Team Sakeccino

Team Sakeccino is always accepting new members. Newcomers can attend up to three practices for free to see what it’s like.

Please fill out and bring the Club Sake Waiver to your first practice of each year.

Membership Fees

To join Team Sakeccino, you must join our parent club, Seattle SAKE, and pay race fees to Team Sakeccino. Here’s an explanation of those two annual membership fees:

  1. Seattle SAKE Club Fee:This payment of $90 goes to Seattle SAKE, which is Team Sakeccino’s parent club. This covers costs related to maintenance and mooring of the club’s dragon boats, as well as maintenance of other club equipment. If you write this as a separate check, make it payable to Club Sake. Otherwise, make one payment via Paypal to Sakeccino or by check to Curtis Lu, and the team will make sure the club receives its portion.
    • Seattle SAKE membership is annual, spanning January 1 to December 31 every year
    • General SAKE membership fee for 2011 is $90 for one year, $170 for two years, and $245 for three years (paid in one lump sum)
    • This membership fee is nonrefundable and nontransferable
    • Team Survivor Northwest members, full-time students and seniors (55 years and above) may join Seattle SAKE at discounted fee of $60 for 2011
    • New members, including TSNW members, students and seniors, may join Seattle SAKE at any time after June 30, 2011 for a prorated fee of $50
    • New members who join the Club after October 1st may pay the full appropriate membership fee for 2012, which includes the remainder of the current year
    • Full payment of the appropriate fee by or before the first water practice after January 1st of every year is required to renew existing membership
  2. Team Sakeccino Race Fees: This payment of $100 covers the fees that are required for Team Sakeccino to enter races. Typically, the team participates in three races per year. If you are unable to participate in all three races, a portion of the fee equivalent to the cost of the race(s) you were not in will be returned to you at the end of the race season, or it will be applied to your fees for the following year, whichever option you prefer.

Team Jersey (optional):

The team jersey is for members only and is not required.  We will have new jerseys for 2012.  Please stay tuned for further details.
